Irene Dowd
(née O'Sullivan)
Irene Dowd nee O’Sullivan of Corrydarrigan, Schull, Co. Cork and Goatstown, Dublin and Tralee, Co. Kerry, wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, charity and peace worker. Slipped away peacefully in the presence of all her family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Cúil Dídin Nursing Home, Tralee, on 19th December 2018, beloved wife of the late Dick and dear mother of Brian, Fergus, Donal, Cormac, Gráinne & Lorcan. Sadly missed by her loving family, her son-in-law Ray (Mulvihill), daughters-in-law Mary, Helyn, Úna, Mary & Siobhán, brother Philip, 13 grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and many wonderful friends. Predeceased by her brothers Kevin and Gearóid.

Reposing at The Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee on Thursday from 2 to 3 pm. Reposing at her residence Goirtín na Lachan, Corrydarrigan, Schull on Friday from 10 to 12 noon. Funeral arriving to St. Mary’s Church, Schull on Friday for Requiem Mass at 2 pm. Cremation on Saturday at 2.30 pm in Newlands Cross Crematorium, Dublin. Donations in lieu of flowers, to the Irish Cancer Society, care of the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee.
