Peacefully, in the tender care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, surrounded by her devoted family. Beloved wife of the late Stephen and cherished mother of Amanda, Teresa, Stephanie, and the late Paul.

Irene was the heart of her family, a source of warmth, wisdom, and kindness. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love by her children, her adored grandchildren—David, Gemma, Andrew, Adam, Laura, Ellen, Holly, Mark, and Kelly—and her precious great-grandson Alfie. She was a beloved mother-in-law to Mark and a wonderful presence in the lives her daughters partners Paul and Stuart.

Irene's love extended beyond her immediate family to her dear sisters Betty, Patty, and Sally, as well as her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbours. Her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Irene will repose at Michael Doyle Funeral Home, Finglas Village, on Tuesday, the 25th, from 3 PM to 5 PM. Her Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday morning at 10 AM in St. Oliver Plunkett’s Church, Rivermount, Finglas South, followed by cremation at Glasnevin Crematorium.
