Nutley, Donnybrook, Dublin / Drumcondra, Dublin

KIRBY (née Tallon) Irene (Nutley, Donnybrook, and formerly of Griffith Avenue, Drumcondra) July 7th, 2025 – died peacefully, in her 86th year, in the tender care of the staff of Blackrock Hospice. Predeceased by Tom, her husband and best friend of 55 years, her parents Michael and Jennie Tallon, sisters Jenn and Marie, brothers Eddie, Ronnie, Michael and Tony. She will be sadly missed by her loving sister Pauline O’Neill, sisters-in-law Patricia Tallon, Mary Fleming, Patricia Bastible, Ann Quinn and Kathleen Kirby, brother-in-law John Fleming, her late brother Michael’s partner Betty Newman, Hildegarde O’Connor (Kirby), nieces and nephews, especially Pauline Flannery and Mark Fleming, cousins, extended family and friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Irene’s carer Susana Mendoza for her dedicated care and kindness.

 

Reposing at Rom Massey & Sons Funeral Home, 6 Cranford Centre, Stillorgan Road (opposite UCD Flyover) on Thursday, 10th July, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, 11th July, at 10am at the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Merrion Road, followed by private cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium.
