Irene passed away peacefully after a short illness on 2nd February 2026, in her 97th year, under the wonderful care of the Bons Secours Hospital Limerick, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Joe, brothers Fr. John, Paudie, and Jimmy. Sadly missed by her daughters Helen (Cunneen), Maria (Lynch), Irene (Doyle), her son Sean, sons-in-law Noel, Frank, and Morgan, daughter-in-law Liz, grandchildren Jack, Caoimhe, Colm, Kate, Diarmuid, Muireann, and Saoirse, extended family, neighbours, and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at Sexton’s Funeral Home, Broadford on Thursday 5th February from 6pm to 8pm. Arriving at St. Ita's Church, Feenagh on Friday 6th February for Requiem Mass at 12 noon which can be viewed through the Funeral Service link below. Burial afterwards in Feenagh Cemetery.
