Iris O'Sullivan
(née Colhoun)

Iris O’Sullivan née Colhoun, Sandy Lane, Blackrock, Co. Louth and formerly of Malin Village, Co. Donegal. Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday 14th November 2025. Iris much loved wife and best friend of the late Tony, cherished mother of Tara Shirley and Nicola Golden, granny of Ben, Chloe, Lucy, Alex and Andrew, mother-in-law of Jonathan and the late Tony, sister of Linda, Wendy, Canon Doris, Derek, Nigel and the late Norma and Ivan. Iris will be sadly missed by her heartbroken daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law, sisters, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Iris will repose at McGeoughs Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street (A91 XW66) from 2pm until 5pm on Saturday. Removal on Sunday afternoon via her home, to St Paul’s Church, Heynestown (A91 TP21) arriving for Funeral Service at 2pm. Burial afterwards in adjoining Churchyard.

Iris’s family would like to thank her carers, for their exceptional care and kindness they showed to Iris during her illness.

Due to the wonderful care and attention Iris received from the hospice, Family Flowers only donations to The North Louth Hospice.
