Ivor Browne

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Professor William Ivory Browne (Ivor), on 24th January, 2024. Ivor died peacefully in his sleep, at home, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

 

As one of Ireland’s leading psychiatrists, as well as being a talented musician, Ivor made a huge impact on the lives of countless people. He will be lovingly remembered by the thousands he came into contact with, both professionally and personally, and especially by his large blended family, which includes seven children, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, as well as numerous in-laws, nephews and nieces. Sadly, Ivor was predeceased by his loving wife and partner of thirty-five years, June, his siblings, Valentine and Ismay, and his first wife, Orla.

 

Ivor will repose at Fanagans Funeral Home in Dundrum on Friday 26th, 4pm-7pm, Saturday 27th, 2:30-5pm and on Sunday 28th, 2pm-5pm. Family home private.

 

A celebration of life Service (which can be viewed at this link - https://www.mountjerome.ie/victorian-chapel-service/), followed by cremation, will take place at Mount Jerome Crematorium, 158 Harold’s Cross Road, Dublin D6W HY98 at 2:30PM on Monday, 29th January.
