Jack passed away on the 18th of October 2025 at Cork University Hospital, predeceased by his parents Anna and Edward, brother Jim and uncle Fr. Tom Cooney.

Jack is deeply mourned and sadly by his loving wife Mary, sons Austin and Johnny, daughters-in-law Siobhán and Lorraine, grandchildren Lydia, Kate, Leona, Líle and Jack, sister Elma O'Rourke, sister-in-law Nora Cooney, brothers-in-law Pat O'Rourke and Austin Fennell, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jack will be reposing at The Kiely Funeral Home (X35 XN79) on Tuesday evening, 21st October, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Prayers at 6.30 p.m.

Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. on Wednesday morning, 22nd October, in St. Mary's Parish Church, Dungarvan. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
