Jack Daly

The death has occurred of Jack Daly (retired An Garda Síochana) – Lake View, Rathconnell, Mullingar, Co Westmeath and formerly of Strokestown, Co Roscommon – August 19, 2025 (peacefully) surrounded by his loving family and in the excellent care of the staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar. Predeceased by his dear daughter Caroline (Crowley), brother Charlie, sister Maureen and infant brother Paul. Beloved husband and best friend of Peg, loving father of Pauline, John, Mark, Raymond and Anita, adored grandfather to his sixteen grandchildren and cherished great-grandfather to his eight great-grandchildren.

Jack will be very sadly missed and always remembered by his wife and family, sons-in-law Gerry, William and Eamonn, daughters-in-law Johanna, Pamela and Marcella, sister Maud, brothers James, Malachy, Michael and David, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many wonderful friends and former colleagues of An Garda Síochana.

MAY JACK’S GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE

Reposing at his home on Thursday August 21st from 5 pm to 7 pm and house private thereafter. Jack’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday August 22nd at 11 am in the Cathedral of Christ the King and may be viewed on the live webcam at www.mullingarparish.ie. Burial afterwards in Ballyglass Cemetery.
