Jack Gilligan,

Lumcloon, Cloghan, Offaly.

Jack died on August 11th 2025, peacefully at home with his family, in his 94th year. He was late of Bord na Móna, was a steward at Knock Shrine for over 40 years and was predeceased by his beloved wife Frances, daughter-in-law Christinea, baby grandson John, and brothers Paddy and Jimmy.

Jack will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, Noel, Marie, John, Angela and Trish, grandchildren, Daniel, Jerome, Oisín, Enya, Ellen, David, Laura, James, Joseph, and Louise, great-grandchildren, Fionn, Grace, Sean, Michael and Jack, daughter-in-law Carmel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Jack will repose at Grennan's Funeral Home Ferbane (R42 HW25) on Wednesday evening (Aug. 13th) from 5pm to 7pm.

(Additional parking available in the adjoining Church grounds)

Removal on Thursday morning (Aug. 14th) to St. Mary's Church, Cloghan, where his Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11am, and may be viewed on http://www.cloghanbanagherparish.ie, and afterwards will be laid to rest in Killourney Cemetery.
