The death has occurred suddenly of Jackie (John) Brien at "Ashlawn House", Runnymede, Ahascragh, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. Predeceased by his sister Bridgie Moylette, his brother in law Pat Cahill and his nephew John Cahill.  Very sadly missed by his beloved wife Lily and his daughters Majella and Sharon, son-in-law Diarmuid and ten grandchildren Hudaa, Saeed, Ayesha, Abdullah, Ava, Andrea, Ellen, Grace, Safa and Emma, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.  A lifelong contribution to camogie at Connacht, Galway and community level.

 

Removal from his residence on Saturday, 24th April, at 12.30 pm to arrive at St. Cuan's Church, Ahascragh for Requiem Mass at 1 pm.  Interment afterwards in Ahascragh new cemetery.  Due to current restrictions, Jackie's Funeral Mass will be held privately for family only but may be viewed via webcam on
