James Alexander (Alec) Paton

PATON, James Alexander (Alec), Mill Street, Tullow, Co. Carlow died peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny on Thursday 7th November 2024 after a short illness, just 5 weeks short of his 92nd birthday; predeceased by his loving wife Olive in 1999 and grandson Josh. Adored father of William, David and Lorraine; grandfather to Lauren, James, Rachel, Henry, George, Jane and Jack and great-grandfather to Pia and Bella. Mourned by his sons-in-law David and Brett and daughter-in-law Karen, Craig, Connie, nieces, nephews, relatives, work colleagues, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Halligan’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Tullow (R93 TX99) from 3pm to 6pm on Saturday, 9th November. Removal to St. Columba’s Church, Tullow (R93 K304) for arrival at 7pm on the same evening.

Celebration of Alec’s life at St. Columba’s Church on Sunday, 10th November, at 2pm after which he will be laid to rest with Olive in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only.
