James (Bob) Burke

BURKE (James Street,Cork): On 14th Oct 2025, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the doctors and nurses in Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, surrounded by his family, JAMES (Bob) late of R+W Davidson’s (Irish Dairy Board), loving husband of Ann (née O’Meara).

 

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary and his sister Irene (O’Riordan). Deeply mourned by his loving wife Ann, his beloved sisters Carmel (McKeown) and Mary (O’Donovan) and brother Kieran, brothers- in -law Eddie and Florrie, sister- in -law Ger, nieces Maria, Debbie, Carol, Catherine and Carrie, nephews Alan, Eoin, Brendan, Martin, Brian and Kieran, relatives and friends.

 

Reposing at the Coburg Street Funeral Home of Jerh. O’Connor Ltd on Thursday (October 16th) from 5.00pm to 6.00pm followed by prayers.

Requiem Mass at 12.30pm on Friday (17th October) at Ss. Peter and Paul’s Church, Paul St, Cork (T12K8V0) which can be viewed on mycondolences.ie

Funeral afterwards in St Michael’s Cemetery, Blackrock.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Marymount University Hospital and Hospice.
