James E. McGovern

The death has occurred: James E. McGovern, Retired Solicitor, Thornhill, Malone, Belfast, Co. Antrim and formerly of Maryville Park and Glen Road, Belfast. James passed away on 30th December 2024, peacefully at his home, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Malena (May). James will be sadly missed by his beloved daughter Julie, her mum Joan and son-in-law Craig. Deeply loved and missed by his sisters Marie, Anne, Geraldine, Bernadette and Clare, relatives, extended family and friends.

Reposing at O’Kanes Funeral Home, 116 – 118 Donegal Street, Belfast BT1 2GY on Thursday 2nd January from 2pm until 4pm.

House strictly private at all times please.

Requiem Mass on Friday 3rd January at 10am in St Brigid’s Church, Derryvolgie Avenue, Belfast, followed by burial in Miltown Cemetery.
