James (Ginger) WHELAN

WHELAN (Glenageary Heights and formerly of Patrick’s Street, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin) – April 9th 2026 (peacefully) at home surrounded by his family. James (Ginger) (late of Snap Printing, Sandyford); dearly beloved husband, best friend and soul mate of Jackie, much loved and adored father of Daryl, Emma, Anthony and the late baby Holly. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter, daughter-in-law Emma, grandchildren Lucie, Alex and Ayda, brother Anto, sister-in-law Margaret, brother-in-law Turkey and his wife Michelle, nephew, nieces, grandnieces, grandnephew, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Patrick O’Donovan & Son Funeral Home, Sallynoggin A96 V962 on Sunday (April 12th) from 12pm until 2pm (All welcome) Removal on Monday (April 13th) to St. Michael’s Church, Dun Laoghaire arriving for 10am Requiem Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to St. Michael’s Cremation Services Chapel within the Funeral Home arriving for 12noon cremation service.
