James (Jim) Brookes

Brookes, Cullinagh, Skibbereen.
On March 26th, 2026, James passed away peacefully in the care of the staff at Mercy University Hospital, Cork. JAMES (JIM), beloved husband of Netta and loving father of Hazel, Ivan, Rhoda and Stephen. Sadly missed by his wife and family, son-in-law Ian Gilkinson, grandsons Joshua and Sam, sister Lily Patterson, sisters-in-law Sadie Quinn, Lucy Perrott, Noelle O’Grady and their husbands, John, James and Kieran, nephews, nieces, cousins, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Romie O’Donovan’s Funeral Home, North Street, Skibbereen on Saturday, 28th March from 6.30pm to 8.30pm followed by prayers. Funeral Service in Drimoleague Methodist Church (P47 W297) on Sunday, 29th March at 2pm, followed by committal in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Coronea, Skibbereen.
