James (Jim) Byrne

of Jim Byrne’s Pub Carnew, Co Wicklow,

formerly of Bolinrush, Bunclody, Co. Wexford,

Newtownmountkennedy and Arklow, Co. Wicklow, and New York.

Passed away on 4th February 2026 following a brief illness in the loving care of the staff at Wexford General Hospital. Sadly missed by his loving daughter Eilís, sons Adrian, Shane, and Raymond, his loving partner Mary, daughters in law Aelsa and Aoife, son in law Philip and adored grandchildren Ella, Adam, Daniel and Lily, brothers Pat and Tom, sister Nancy, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and his many relatives and friends. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Lil, siblings Luke, Mike, Kathy, Seán, Mary and Art.

May Jim’s gentle soul rest in peace.

Jim will be reposing at McCrea's Funeral Home, Carnew (Y14EK24) this Thursday 5th February from 4.00pm to 8.00pm, and on Friday 6th February from 3.00pm to 8.00pm.

Funeral mass on Saturday at 11.00am in St. Brigid’s Church, Askamore which can be viewed on https://churchmedia.ie, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
