James (Jim) Flannery

Flannery, James (Jim), Merrion Village, Dublin 4, April 3rd 2025, peacefully in the care of the staff at St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin. Reunited in heaven with his grandson James, his parents William and Margaret, his sisters Breda and Phyllis and his brothers Liam (Fr Austin Flannery OP), George and Paul.

Beloved husband of Margaret (Mags, nee Dennehy) and cherished father of Liam, John, Sarah and Ruth, dear brother to Sadie, much loved father-in-law to Orlaith, Karen and Jens. Doted grandfather (Popa Jim) of Anna, Caroline, Amy, Billy, Rachael, Conor, Lara, Louise, Daniel, Lilli and the late James. He will be sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, sister, daughters-in-law and son-in-law, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing in Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Blackrock (A94 X308) on Thursday 10th April from 5pm – 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held in Church of the Assumption, Booterstown (A94 NW53) on Friday 11th April at 11am, followed by committal service in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium at 1.45pm.
