It is with deep sadness we announce the death of James (Jim), St Luke’s, Cork City, who passed away on the 20th of August, peacefully but unexpectedly after a short illness fought with courage and dignity surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at the Mercy Hospital Cork. James (Jim) Late of Gardeners Hill, St Luke’s. Dearly beloved partner of Carmel. (O’Riordan). Loving father Kevin, Regina, Janice and wife Noreen.

Predeceased by his parents Jack and Mamie, brothers Derek and Georgie. Sadly missed by his loving family, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren especially Megan his Granddaughter and his best friends Michael and Mollie-Mae, brother Barry, sisters Marie and Breda, sister-in-law Mary, Geraldine, Carmel’s family Michael, Kay, the late Sharon, granddaughters Alix, Ella, nieces, nephews, extended family, great neighbours and a large circle of friends

May James’s Soul Rest in Peace

Reposing at Keohane’s Funeral Home, Knights Hill, Old Youghal Road, Mayfield, Cork, on Thursday, the 21st of August, from 5-6pm, with prayers at 5:45pm.
Requiem Mass on Friday, the 22nd at 12noon in St Joseph’s Mayfield, which will be live-streamed here followed by burial in Rathcooney, Cemetery Glanmire.

The family would like to thank Doctors, Nurses and Staff in St Joseph’s Ward for their kindness and exceptional care shown to James during his short illness.
