James (Jim) McMahon

The death has occurred of James (Jim) McMahon, Tullynahinera, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, Wednesday, 22nd December 2021, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by his son Patrick. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his devoted wife Kathleen, sons Seamus and Alan, daughters Joanne and Liz, sons-in-law Marty and Johnny, daughter-in-law Majella, grandchildren Ciaran, Aoife, James, Daragh, Eoghan and Jack, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

In an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and in respect for Government Guidelines, McMahon’s house will be Strictly Private. James’ funeral cortege will leave his residence on Friday morning (Christmas Eve) at 11.30am to arrive at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Lough Egish for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

The community of neighbours and friends are welcome to pay their final tribute to James by lining the route, in a socially distanced manner, as his remains are brought from his home to the church on Friday morning.
