James (Jim) Rooney

Rooney - San Francisco, U.S.A. and formerly Killargue, Co. Leitrim, December 4th 2023, peacefully at San Francisco General Hospital, James (Jim), dearly loved son of the late Patrick and Margaret, beloved brother of Thomas (Brid), Manorhamilton, Pat, Dromahair, John, San Francisco, Elizabeth (Brendan) Kelly, Sligo, Mary (Liam) Howley, Ballinasloe, Marian (Edward) Smith, Derry and Teresa (Patrick) Harkin, San Francisco, cherished uncle of his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at the residence of his brother Pat, Station Road, Dromahair (F91 K295), on Wednesday, 13th December, from 4pm to 9pm. House strictly private at all other times. Removal on Thursday to St. Brigid’s Church, Killargue for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. The Funeral Mass may be viewed on the following link https://youtube.com/live/_8rOCklrHk0.

Burial afterwards at Creevelea Abbey New Cemetery, Dromahair. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to North West Hospice Sligo or the Irish Heart Foundation.
