James (Jim) Rooney

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Rooney, late of Crossalare, Laragh, Castleblayney, peacefully on Saturday, 27 th September 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Sarah (née Connolly) and his brother Francie. Sadly missed by his sister-in-law Ann. Fondly remembered by his nieces Franceta, Helena and Sonya and his grand-nieces Emily, Leah and Frankie. Warmly recalled by all his relatives, friends and neighbours.

God called your name so softly, that only you could hear

Jim will repose at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 C653, on Sunday 28th September from 4pm to 7pm. Removal on Monday morning from Deery’s Funeral Home to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Lisdoonan, A81 DP44, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
