James (Jim) Stapleton

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Stapleton, Beechwood Nursing Home, Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow and formerly of Griffinstown, Skeoughvosteen, Co. Kilkenny and Knocklonogad, Garryhill, Co. Carlow. Peacefully, on the 25th February 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Co. Kilkenny. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Tom and Michael, sister-in-law Kathleen and brother-in-law Dan. Deeply mourned by his sister Mary Ellen, brothers John and Eamonn, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Cushen’s Funeral Home, Kilcarrig Street, Bagenalstown (R21 V127), on Tuesday, 27th February, from 2pm until 7pm, with prayers at 6.30pm. Removal from Cushen’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, 28th February, to arrive at Saint Lazerian’s Church, Drumphea (R21 N202), for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Jim’s family would like to sincerely thank the staff of St. Luke’s Hospital (ICU) for the wonderful care and attention given to Jim during his short time there. The family would also like to sincerely thank the staff of Beechwood Nursing Home for the kind and loving care provided to Jim during his time there.
