The death has occurred of
James (Jimmy) Barrett
BARRETT (Togher, Cork and late of Clogheen, Co. Tipperary); On February 5th, 2026, peacefully, after a short illness bravely borne, in Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, surrounded by his loving family, JAMES (JIMMY) (BQMS Retd. Ordnance Corp. Collins Barracks) (St. Finbarr’s National Hurling & Football Club), loving husband of the late Frances and beloved father of Eric, Damian and Sandra (Morey), brother of Biddy and the late Paddy.
Sadly missed by his loving family, daughters-in-law Mary and Rosemarie, son-in-law Robert, grandchildren Niamh, Eoin, Colm, David, Greg, Aoife and Conor, great-grandchildren Croíadh, Éanna, Aifric, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at the Wilton Funeral Home, Sarsfield Road of Jerh. O’ Connor Ltd. on Saturday (February 7th) from 4.00pm to 5.00pm.
Requiem Mass at 10.30am on Monday (February 9th) in The Church of the Way of the Cross, Togher which will be live streamed on
Funeral afterwards to St. James’ Cemetery, Chetwynd.
The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care given to him by his G.P. Lorraine Dennis and Marymount Hospice.
