James (Jimmy) Bracken

Bracken, James (Jimmy,) Wednesday, 28th September, Sandymount, Dublin 4, passed away peacefully, aged 96 years, with his loving wife Alice (of 69 years) and his children by his side, in the tender care of the nurses and carers of Mount Tabor Nursing Home.  Predeceased by his brothers and sister.  He will be greatly missed by his children Paula, Gerard, Donal, Sheila, Rory, Brian, Oonagh and Hilary.  His 26 grandchildren and his 12 great grandchildren, his sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, nieces and nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, 5 Newtownpark, Blackrock, on Wednesday, 5th October, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Jimmy’s Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday morning, 6th October, at the Church of the Star of the Sea, Sandymount, at 10.00 am followed by burial at Shanganagh Cemetery. Those who cannot attend the funeral Mass can view the service by clicking here.
