Clerkin Funeral Directors regret to announce that the death has occurred of James (Jimmy) Cassidy, Drummons, Scotstown, Co Monaghan, Friday, 6th of March, peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of the staff in Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by his daughter Maggie (Coster) his brothers and sisters, Laurence, Anna (Higgins), Pete, Phill, Sheila (Carrol), Ownie and Jack.

Jimmy will be forever loved and cherished by his wife Mary, his children Gerry (Patricia), Mary (Willie Smyth), Jim (Caroline), Michelle (Declan Mulligan), John (Eimear), Philip (Annie) and his son-in-law David Coster his cherished and adored 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, his sisters Madge (Dunne), Rose (Beggan), Kathleen (Rooney), Dympna (Mc Kenna) and his brother-in-law Terry Dunne, his sister-in-law Winnie, his nieces, nephews, neighbours, friends and all who knew and loved him.

 

Jimmy will repose at his home on Sunday the 8th of March from 2pm until 9pm. Jimmy’s funeral procession will leave his family home on Monday (9th) morning to arrive to St Mary's Church, Urbleshanny for 11am Funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass will be live streamed on Tydavnet RC Facebook page
