JAMES (Jimmy) CUNNINGHAM

Jimmy passed, peacefully, on August 15th, 2021, at University Hospital, Galway. He is pre-deceased by his parents PJ and Norrie.

He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Carmel, eldest son David, his wife Natasha and grandson Carter James and his youngest son Kevin and partner Henrietta.

Loved dearly by his brothers and sisters John, Joseph, Patrick, Mary, Geraldine, Gerard, Tommy and Michael, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and his work colleagues in the OPW.

A life made beautiful by kindly deeds,

A helping hand for others needs,

To a beautiful life came a peaceful end,

He died as he lived, everyone's friend.

Reposing at his residence on Tuesday, August 17th and Wednesday, August 18th, for family and close friends. Removal at 12 noon on Thursday 19th, for Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, Ballinakill, at 1pm. Burial afterwards in Curra Cemetery. Mass may be viewed on

House strictly private on Thursday morning please.
Due to current government guidelines and Covid restrictions Jimmy's funeral will be private.  Messages of sympathy for his family may be inserted in the Condolence Book below.
