James (Jimmy) Geary

Geary (Mitchelstown) on the 18th of November, suddenly, but peacefully at Cork University Hospital, JAMES (Jimmy), (former water curator at Cork County Council and musician), of Ashfield Manor, Mitchelstown. Predeceased by his mother Mai Geary (nee Burke), father John Geary, sister Anne and step brother Thomas. Beloved husband of Nora and loving father of Anne (O’Keeffe) & John, and adoring grandfather of Ellena, Alicia, JJ & Saoirse-Mae. Deeply regretted by his loving family, son-in-law Joseph and daughter-in-law Andrea. Sadly missed by his step brothers Michael, John, Lar, Anthony, step sisters Mary and Kay, their mother Margaret, nieces, nephews, cherished cousins and a wide circle of beloved friends and neighbours.

Jimmy’s Funeral cortege will travel via Ashfield Manor, Kildorrery Road, Georges Street, Baldwin Street, Thomas Street, Robert Street and Lower Cork Street on its way to the Church of Mary Conceived Without Sin, Mitchelstown on Wednesday (24th November) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
