James (Jimmy) McCarthy

McCarthy (Quarries Cross, Mossgrove, Bandon and formerly of Dromaquiling, Bealnamorrive) on September 27th 2025, peacefully in the exceptional care of Bride Ward, Balllincollig Community Nursing Unit. James (Jimmy), beloved husband of 64 years of Teresa (nee O'Leary), loving father of John, Kevin, Carina, Angela, Seamus, Gerard, Michael and Dan, dear brother to sister Mary and brother Dan. Predeceased by his brother Jackie, brothers-in-law John and Dan O'Leary and Dan O'Regan, sisters-in-law Mary Gleeson and Gobnait McCarthy and his parents John and Kate.

Jimmy will be sadly missed by his devoted wife Teresa and family, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, his 17 grandchildren, nephews, relatives and friends.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 1pm in St. John the Baptist Church, Newcestown, funeral afterwards to the adjoining Cemetery.
