JAMES McSWEENEY (Jimmy) Tim Daly’s Terrace, Midleton & late of Irish Distillers). On August 16th 2025 surrounded by his loving family, peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff of Cork University Hospital.

 

Son of the late Peggy (Margaret) McSweeney, brother of the late Kit, Eileen and Mary.

 

Beloved husband of the late Noreen (née Cooney), loving father of Martin, John, Michael, Carol and Kevin, adored grandfather of Leah, Rachel, James, Matthew, Ben, Abbie, Andrew, Jack and Amy.

 

Sadly missed also by his daughters-in-law Sheila, Louise and Deirdre, son-in-law Kevin, loving brother Gerard, all of his extended family especially Josie, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, lifelong friend John O’Connor and a wide circle of friends.

 

May Jimmy Rest In Peace.

 

Reposing at Hyde’s Funeral Home, Drury’s Avenue, Midleton P25VW02 on Monday 18th from 5pm - 7pm.

 

Requiem Mass on Tuesday 19th in the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Midleton at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

 

Mass will be available to view LIVE ONLY on the Parish TV Saorview Channel and on www.midletonparish.ie
