James (J.J.) Leahy-Stanton

Leahy-Stanton (Killala Gardens, Knocknaheeny); On October 10th 2025, unexpectedly but peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin, James (J.J.); Dearly loved son of Christina and James and loving brother of Callum, Lenix and Gerald. Predeceased by his loving grandparents Jimmy and Noreen and his uncles.

Very sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his grandad and best bud Christy, Grandmother Yvonne, aunts, uncles, cousins, especially Chris, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. Not forgetting his beloved dog Gucci.

Visitation at O’Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Thursday 16th October from 6.00pm to 8.00pm with prayers at 7.45pm. Requiem Mass on Friday 17th October at 12.00 noon in the Church of the Resurrection, Farranree. Funeral afterwards to St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully.

The family would like to pay a special thanks to the staff at Cork University Hospital, especially those in Ward 1B and to the ICU Team at St. Vincent’s Hospital for the care they showed to James recently.
