James John Duffy

The death has occurred of James John Duffy, Kilkenny, Castlebar (formerly of Oughty, Drummin, Westport) on 24th of August 2023 peacefully in his 90th year at Mayo University Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Thady and Teresa, brothers and sisters; Martin, Bridget, Mary, Teresa, Patrick, Andy, Mikie, Ted and Peter (Pe).

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen (née Ruddy, Belmullet) and their children; Kathryn, Maria, Noreen, Barbara and James, and his brother John, his sons-in-law; Kevin, Rait, Olivier and Colin and daughter-in-law Kathy, his fifteen grandchildren and his three great grandchildren, his two sisters-in-law, his many nephews and nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Sunday 27th August from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. The funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Monday 28th August for Funeral Mass at 11.00am, followed by removal to Shannon Crematorium arriving for service at 4.00pm.

The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.churchtv.ie/castlebar or can be listened to in Castlebar on Castlebar Parish Radio 105.3FM.
