James Mahon

James died peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on 29th January 2026. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Margaret, brother Francey, brothers-in-law Mike Prunty and Mickey Quinn and his nephews Johnathan Mahon and Richie Quinn.

James will be sadly missed and forever remembered with love by his family, his wife and best friend Teresa, daughters Geraldine, Mary, Angela and Teresa, son James, daughter-in-law Aisling (née Carr), sons-in-law Liam Macken, Tony Finn and Eddie Quinn, his cherished grandchildren Conor, Orla, Darragh, Niall, Enda, Aideen, Clodagh, Oisín and Páidí, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, his good neighbours and dear friends.

Your life was love and labour,
Your love for your family true,
You did your best for all of us,
We will always remember you.

Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church St, Longford N39KN66 on Friday 30th from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7.30pm. Removal from his home on Saturday 31st to arrive to St. Mary's Church, Ennybegs, Killoe, N39AH01 for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Following Mass, James will be laid to rest in Cullyfad cemetery.
