James McDERMOTT
James McDermott
O'Loughlin Court, Kilkenny
and formerly of Cloney, Athy, Co. Kildare.
James passed away on 24th February 2026, peacefully at Castlecomer District Hospital. Predeceased by his loving wife Anne (née Dewberry) and daughter Mary (Barry). Beloved father of Alex, Joe, Josephine and Jim. James will be dearly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law Patrick and Paul, daughters-in-law Sandra, Regina and Andrea, brothers and sisters, grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.
The family would line to thank in a specaial way the Nurses and staff at St. Luke's Hospital and Castlecomer Hospital for the kindness and care shown to James during his time with them.

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Friday (27th Feb) from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm.
Requiem Mass on Saturday morning at 10.30am in St. John's Church.
Funeral afterwards to St. Kieran's Cemetery.
House private please.
Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Friends of Castlecomer District Hospital. Donation box in Funeral Home and Church porch.
