The death has occurred of James Patrick (Jimmy) Smyth, 103 O'Neill Park, Clones, Co. Monaghan, Sunday 8th February 2026, peacefully in College View Nursing Home, Cavan, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Predeceased by his beloved wife Eileen, parents Violet and Terence Smyth and his brothers Brian and John Tomas (who died in infancy)

 

Cherished and much-loved father of Christine (Gisele). Jimmy will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his daughter and her partner Gisele, his adored and much loved grandson Marcus, sisters Ann (Mick Wylie, England) and Josie (Johnny Joel, Wales), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, especially Gerry Douglas, Theresa and Ruth, many friends and by all who knew and loved Jimmy.

Jimmy will repose at Martin's Family Room, Newbliss, H18C962 on Wednesday 11th from 5pm to 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning 12th from Martin's family room at 10.40am arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Clones for 11am funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in Mount St Oliver's Cemetery.

 

Jimmy's funeral cortège to the chapel from Newbliss, will travel via The Diamond and Fermanagh St, (Driving)
