James (Seamus) RAFTER
James (Seamus) Rafter
New Orchard, Bonnetsrath Road, Kilkenny
and Shillelagh, Co. Wicklow.
Seamus passed away on 1st September 2025, peacefully surrounded by family, in the loving care of the staff at Emo Court Ward at the Midland Hospital, Portlaoise. Predeceased by his partner Carmel, parents Jim and Margaret and aunt Bride (Langton). Seamus will be dearly missed by his brothers Brian and Eamonn, sister Catherine (Murphy), sisters-in-law Catherine and Jean, brother-in-law Jim, nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Wednesday (3rd Sept) from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.15pm. Removal on Thursday morning to St. John's Church for Requiem Mass at 10.30am.
Funeral afterwards to St. Kieran's Cemetery.
The Requiem Mass will be live streamed
