James (SHAY) Hennessy

HENNESSY, James, known lovingly to all as SHAY, North Strand (formerly of Buckingham Street, born and raised in Sheriff Street), a proud Dublin 1 man all his life, passed away 16th December, 2024 peacefully after an illness bravely borne, surrounded by his devoted family at his home as he so wished for.

 

Pre-deceased by his wife and best friend Marie (2018) and his son Jamie (1998).

 

Shay will be deeply missed by his loving children Keith, David and Laura, cherished grand-children Daniel, Sophie, Jamie, Ryan Emily and Molly, daughters-in-law Tracey and Ann-Marie, son-in-law Domo, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, a large extended family, many lifelong friends and treasured neighbours.

Also special mention goes to Lorraine for all the homehelp and Tommy his friend who brought him to many an appointment, your kindness and support will be forever appreciated and remembered.

 

SHAY will repose at Jennings Funeral Directors

Amiens Street, Dublin 1

Thursday 19th December 2024 from 3pm to 5pm

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday 20th December 2024 at 11am

St. Agatha’s Church, North William Street, Dublin 1

Followed by Burial at Fingal Cemetery, Fingal, Co. Dublin
