James Whelan

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of James Whelan, who was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his death.

Beloved son of Basil Whelan and the late Olive Whelan. James will be deeply missed by his cherished children, Zoë and James, and their mother, Sharon. He is also mourned by his loving siblings, Basil, Rodney, Jacquelyn, Eileen, and Olive. Along with his life partner, Lili, her children, Jessica and Danny, as well as his nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of friends and neighbors.

The funeral will take place on Thursday, 2nd January, at 11 a.m. in Saint Mochonog’s Church, Kilmacanoge, followed by burial in Kilmacanoge Cemetery.

James will repose at the family home on Tuesday afternoon for family and close friends. On Wednesday, friends and extended family are welcome, with a book of condolence available through the link below. The family would like anyone who attending the funeral to wear black
