(née Carberry)

Dempsey (née Carberry) Jean, 16th December 2025 (Drimnagh and formerly of Fatima Mansions); suddenly at home after a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Kay. Beloved wife of Brendan, loving mother of Michelle, Bren and Jennifer, adored nanny of Mila, Daniel and Penny and cherished sister of Christy, Kathleen, Jesse and Gero and the late Marie, Pat, Fran and Tommy.

 

Jean will be forever loved and sadly missed by her heartbroken family, son-in-law Keith, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews especially Donna and her son Alex, extended family, close neighbours and friends.

 

Jean’s family would like to thank the emergency services for their swift and dedicated efforts, and the staff of St. James’s Hospital for the care and dignity shown to them.

 

May her gentle soul rest in peace

 

Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village on Sunday (21st December) from 1pm to 3pm. Funeral Mass on Monday (22nd December) at 10am in Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Mourne Road, Drimnagh followed by Burial in Mount Jerome Cemetery.
