Jean Leahy
(née Whalley)
Mrs. Jean Leahy (nee Whalley) Ballymacart, Old Parish, Dungarvan and formerly of St. Helens, Lancashire, England who died surrounded by her loving family and in the compassionate care of the staff at St. Vincent’s Unit, Dungarvan Community Hospital on Friday 10th October 2025, aged 96 years. Predeceased by her husband Edward Leahy, son-in-law James Flynn, her sisters Muriel and Hilda, brothers-in-law Seán and Don, and sister-in-law Beanie.
Jean will be sadly missed by her daughters Karen and Helen, grandchildren Ruth, Anna, Bridget, Philip, Michael and John, son-in-law Gerard, niece Janet, nephew Greg, extended family, friends and neighbours.
May she Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Drohan’s Funeral Home Dungarvan on Monday 13th October from 5 p.m. with removal at 7p.m to the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin, Old Parish. Funeral Mass on Tuesday 14th October at 11a.m. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
