LYONS (“Anfield”, Ballymacowen, Clonakilty): on January 4th 2022 peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Cork University Hospital and always under the wonderful care of her G.P. and dear friend Dr. Yvonne Hayes.  JEAN (nee McNamara) beloved wife of Owen, devoted mother to Ellen, daughter of the late Teddy and Eileen. Deeply regretted by her loving husband, daughter, brothers Tony and Danny, sisters Noelle and Helen, aunts Bernie and Sheila, father-in-law Dan, mother-in-law Kathleen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, work colleagues, relatives, and friends.

Reposing in O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Clonakilty on Thursday, January 6th 2022 from 5.30pm to 7pm followed by Prayers. Requiem Mass on Friday, January 7th 2022 at 1.30pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clonakilty. This will be livestreamed via  www.clonakiltyparish.ie/live. Funeral afterwards to St. Mary’s Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Oncology Unit at Cork University Hospital.

Jean’s Funeral Cortege will leave her residence on Friday, January 7th 2022 at 12.45pm proceeding via Gullane, turning left at Hospital Cross, Convent Hill, Wolfe Tone Street and onwards to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clonakilty for Requiem Mass at 1.30pm. Please adhere to Government Guidelines on social distancing if attending Funeral Services or Cortege.
