The death has occurred of
Jean O'Shea
(née McCarthy)
On June 17th, 2025, peacefully in her 93rd year in the presence of her family at Ballincollig Community Nursing Unit. JEAN, beloved wife of the late Joe O'Shea, much loved mother of Pat (O’Sullivan), Bernie (O’Sullivan), John, Francis, Joey, the late Denis, Connie and Esther (Mullins), dear sister of Terry, the late Lilly, Charlie and Alice, mother-in-law of Tim, Billy, Margaret, Mary, the late Mary and Elmari. Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Hannah, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.
May she rest in peace.
The O’Shea family would like to acknowledge and thank all the staff of Ballincollig Community Nursing Unit for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Jean during her stay there it is very much appreciated by them.
Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home. Chapel Street, Bantry on Wednesday June 18th, from 7pm to 8.30pm with rosary at 8.30pm. Requiem Mass on June 19th, at 2pm at Sacred Heart Church, Glengarriff (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in Glengarriff Cemetery.
