Jeremiah (Jerry) Lucey

On October 24th, 2024, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, Jeremiah (Jerry) was called to rest. Dearly beloved husband of Sheila (nee O’Sullivan), much loved Dad to Jerry, John, Catherine, Stephen, Mary, Sheila, and Denis, grandfather of the late Baby Niamh. Forever missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, brothers John-Joe and Stephen, sons-in-law Dan (Dullea), Gerard (O’Brien), and Sean (McCarthy), daughters-in-law Caroline (McCarthy) and Niamh (Hurley), sisters-in-law Gerry, Caro, and Noreen, brother-in-law Christy. His adored and adoring grandchildren Cathal, Cillian, Fionn, Anna, Darragh, Colin, Ruairí, Éabha, Caragh (God-daughter), Eoghan, Conor, Jack, Kate, Emma, Maya, Daniel, Mark, Aodha, and Teddy, Godson Diarmuid, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and a large circle of friends.

The Lucey family is forever appreciative of the incredible support that Jerry received from all his caregivers.

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel St, Bantry on Sunday Oct 27th, from 4pm to 7pm with vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass at 12noon on Monday Oct. 28th at St Joseph’s Church, Coomhola (to view livestream please click here) followed by burial in Kilmacomogue Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to the Bantry Day Care Centre, Hospital Cross, Bantry.
