Jeremiah O'Connell

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jeremiah O’Connell, a wonderful husband, father and grandad.

Jeremiah O’Connell, Doonard Crescent and formerly of Dooncaha, Tarbert, Co. Kerry. Jeremiah passed away peacefully at home on December 12th 2025 in the presence of his wife Anne and his devoted family.

Jeremiah is predeceased by his parents Mossie and Bridie (nee Kissane), his brothers Joe, Maurice and Richie and his sister Margaret.

Jeremiah will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his beloved and heartbroken wife Anne, his daughters Sabrina, Jennifer, Brigid and Suzanne, sons-in-law, grandchildren Makayla, Ava, Lexi, Jake, Cillian and Saoirse, brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, relatives, neighbours, a large circle of friends and former work colleagues at Aughinish Alumina.

Rest in Peace

Jeremiah will repose at St. Mary’s Funeral Home, Tarbert on this Monday evening (December 15th) from 6pm until 8pm. Jeremiah’s Funeral Cortege will depart Doonard Crescent on Tuesday morning at 10:20am to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Tarbert for Requiem Mass at 11am. Cremation to follow at Shannon Crematorium.
