The death has occurred of
Jeremiah (Sonnie) Hayes
On January 24th 2026 in his 94th year peacefully in the presence of his loving family at Bantry General Hospital, Jeremiah (Sonnie), beloved husband of the late Pattie (nee O'Sullivan), much loved father of Derry, Marina (O'Sullivan) and Barry, brother of the late May, Francie, Willie, Sean, Rita, Dennis and Tom. Sadly missed by his loving son-in-law Dano, daughters-in-law Margaret and Nora, grandchildren Aidan, Aisling, Cathal, Helena, William, Daniel, Piaras and Éanna, great-grandchildren Noah and Páidí, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours, carers and friends.
May Jeremiah (Sonnie) rest in peace.
Reposing at his son Barry's residence, Bantry Road, Dunmanway, P47 D653 on Monday 26th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 2pm in All Saints Church Drimoleague -livestreamed on http://corklivestream.com/funerals. Funeral afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to St. Joseph's Unit, Bantry General Hospital.
