The death has occurred of
Jerry McSWEENEY
McSWEENEY, Jerry, late of Ballinteer, Dublin, and formerly of Dillons Cross, Cork, passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on the 16th of June 2023. Beloved father of Sharon and Donagh, and loving son of the late Dan and recently deceased Ann; he will be very sadly missed by his heartbroken children, brothers Owen and Donal, sister Susanne, sister-in-law Carole, brother-in-law Fred, his nieces and nephews Max and Joe, Logan and Dane, and Jessica and Sarah and all his extended family, neighbours and his many friends including those from TSC Open Water swimming group.
Jerry was a member of the MLSA and on the National Executive for many years and most recently as Chair of the industrial action subcommittee. He worked in biochemistry in the pathology directorate of St Vincent’s Hospital as a medical scientist for many years. He will be missed by the Department of Pathology SVUH and officers and members of MLSA. He will also be missed by the Clinical Chemistry team, who he did so much for.
