~ We would like to take this opportunity to thank the medical teams in CHI Crumlin, who cared for Jess and supported our family over the past year. In particular, we would like to acknowledge Jess’ extraordinary Consultant Oncologist, Dr Michael Capra, and Clinical Nurse Specialists, Olivia Quigley and Nessa Mullin, who ensured Jess received the highest standard of care and who held our hands throughout a very challenging journey. We will always be grateful to them and to Prof. Israel Fernandez-Pineda, Prof. Jonathon McGuinness and Dr Gavin Kane, whose collective expertise and compassion allowed us time to make more memories with Jess. To the incredible nurses, play specialists, oncology doctors and HCAs in St John’s day unit and ward, who go above and beyond in their roles everyday for the children they care for. We will never be able to thank you enough for the kindness you offered Jess and our family. We would also like to sincerely thank Dr Joan Cunningham, Katherina Kenny, Louisa Hall, our GP Dr Mairead Cassidy and the wider palliative care teams, who offered constant support and reassurance as we cared for Jess at home. You will always have a place in our hearts.
