JESSICA HOLLY SHANNON  Shangate House, Carrowmore, Kilteevan, Roscommon. September 3rd, 2022. (Peacefully); at her home, aged 8, surrounded by her heartbroken parents and sister. Cherished and irreplaceable eldest daughter of Patricia (née Gately) and Ross, adored big sister to Laura and treasured granddaughter to granny & grandad Kathleen & Seamus Shannon and Nanny Pauline Gately. Predeceased by her grandad Patrick Gately and her uncle Joseph Gately. Jessica will be forever missed by her family, her uncles Tommy, Sean and Ger Gately, Mark, Shamey and Rory Shannon, Des O’Doherty and John Morgan, aunts Maura O’Doherty (née Gately), Michelle Morgan (née Shannon), Hilda Gately and Deirdre Shannon, cousins Niall, Aew, Patrick and Tara Gately, Aaron, Kara and Senan Shannon, Noah and Amber Morgan, grandaunts, granduncles, neighbours, school friends, staff at St Coman’s Wood Primary School, Roscommon and her many good friends and all those who supported Jessica throughout her illness.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon on Monday evening from 5 o’c until 7 o’c. Removal from her home in Carrowmore on Wednesday morning at 10.30 o’c arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon for Mass of the Angels at 11 o’c followed by burial in St Coman’s Cemetery, Roscommon. 

Those attending Jessica’s funeral are asked to wear purple where possible as an acknowledgement of Jessica’s favourite colour and to follow best practice in relation to Covid 19 with walk through only please. For those wishing to offer their sympathies, we suggest using the online condolence link below. No flowers please.
