It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Jessica, who left us on March 11th 2026 at the age of 46 in Toronto

Jessica was a loving wife, a devoted mother, a caring daughter, a wonderful sister, and loyal friend, whose kindness, humour, and generosity touched everyone who knew her.

Jessica was born on May 30th 1979 in Tipperary Town, Tipperary, Ireland to Noreen and Gerry Russell. From an early age, she showed a love for dancing, music, and reading which would remain a constant throughout her life. She excelled in academics, earning university bachelor and master degrees, such was her love of learning.

Throughout her life, Jessica built an international career in Learning and Development where she was known for her attention to detail and her dedication, spending her early career in Canada before returning to Ireland. Following a number of years in Ireland, she again returned to Canada, with a successful career with TD Bank.

But beyond work, what mattered most to Jessica was her family and her friendships. Jessica loved spending time with family, traveling, reading, yoga and meditation. Many will remember Jessica for her sense of humour, quiet wisdom, strong work ethic, and sharp wit.

Above all else, Jessica cherished being a mother, a wife, daughter, sister and friend. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dermot, her daughter Emily, her mother Noreen, father Gerry, sisters Samantha and Melanie, brother Jason (predeceased), brother-in-laws Pat and Paul, father-in-law Dermot Snr, mother-in-law Carmel, sisters-in-law Sharon and Sheena, and all her extended family and friends.

Those who knew Jessica will remember her for her kindness, laughter, strength, courage and compassion.

Jessica’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

A visitation will be held at St. James Cemetery and Crematorium, 635 Parliament St, Toronto, ON, M4X 1S3, CA, on March 18, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service from 11:00 am-12:00 pm with a reception follow. The details of the reception will be announced at the end of the Service.

A funeral service in Jessica's Honour will be held in Tipperary, Ireland in the coming weeks.
