The death has occurred of
JIM (BARNEY) McCARTHY
JIM (Barney) McCARTHY (Tim Daly Terrace, Midleton and Churchtown North, Midleton).
Son of the late Jim & Joanie & brother of the late Moss.
On October 14th 2025 peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of all at Our Lady of Lourdes Midleton Community Hospital.
Beloved husband of Margaret (O'Brien), loving father of Siobhán, Aidan & Mairéad.
Adoring Da to Jamie, Finn & Eoghan. Also sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his brother Mick, sisters Kathleen (Chalke), Mary (Kelleher) and Ann (Hennessy), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sons-in-law Tomás and Niall, daughter-in-law Lorraine, nephews, nieces, relatives and a wide circle of fabulous friends.
Barney will repose at Hyde’s Funeral home, Drury’s Avenue, Midleton on Thursday 16th October from 5pm to 6:30pm.
Reception into the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Midleton on Friday 17th October for 11am Requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
