Jim Coyne

Dublin 9, Dublin / Cornamona, Galway

Coyne Jim, 26th of February 2026, Courtlands, Dublin 9 and formerly of Cornamona, Co. Galway.

 

Peacefully after a short illness surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at the Mater Private Hospital.

 

He bore his illness with courage and good humour throughout.

Predeceased by the love of his life Bridie and his first grand-daughter, Elyse. His sister Mary, and brothers, Paddy and Liam.

 

Devoted and adored father to Anne, Martin, Marie, Patricia, Bernadette, and Deirdre. Cherished Grandfather to his grandchildren, Amy, Ryan, Nicola, Briana, Erica, Ronan, Stephen, Sarah, Matthew, Emma, Kayla, Conor, Ellie, Ben, Cian, Adam, Laura, Gracie, Shane, James, Amy's Husband Eoin, and his treasured great grand-daughter Mia.

 

Grateful for the light he shone on them every day.

 

Jim will be sadly missed by his two younger sisters Sadie and Evelyn, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, many many friends and neighbours.

 

Tá a sholas agus a ghrá ag glioscarnach fós

Jim will be reposing at his home D09 W3Y2 on Sunday 1st of March from 2pm to 6pm. The house is private outside of these hours.

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday 2nd of March in Corpus Christi Church, Drumcondra at 10am. Burial in Dardistown Cemetery will follow.

 

No flowers please. Donations in lieu, to The Irish Cancer Society.
